- How disruptive is a re-roof?
- Noisy for a few days and dusty in the loft, but you can stay in the house. Roofs are left weathertight overnight and trading hours are worked around.
- How do we know the roof needs replacing rather than repairing?
- The test is the felt and battens, not the tiles. Once the underfelt has perished, water that gets past a tile has nothing to stop it. We'll show you the state of it at the inspection and say plainly which side of the line your roof is on.
- What happens if you find rotten timbers?
- We stop, photograph it and price the repair before covering it up. It's the one part of a re-roof that can't be fully quoted in advance, so we tell you the rate for it up front.
- Do you clear up afterwards?
- Yes. Scaffold is struck, waste removed and gutters cleared before we invoice.
