Water is getting in where my roof meets a flint wall. Why?
Cracked mortar fillets at that junction are a common cause. A stepped lead flashing is usually a more durable fix.
Can old slates go back on after new battens?
If they are sound, yes. We sort them during stripping and replace only the damaged ones.
How long does a roof replacement take?
It depends on the size and shape of the roof, the covering chosen, access and the weather. A straightforward terrace takes less time than a large slated roof with dormers and valleys.
