Can you repair in bad weather?

We can usually make a roof safe and temporarily watertight in poor weather, then complete the permanent repair once it's dry enough to work properly.

Will the repair match the rest of the roof?

We source matched tiles or slates wherever they're still available. On older Georgian Brinks frontages an exact match isn't always possible and we'll tell you before we start, not after.

The leak appears in one room — is that where the hole is?

Rarely. Water runs along battens and rafters before it drops. We trace it back to the entry point rather than sealing the first suspicious spot above the stain.

Do you clear up afterwards?

Yes. Scaffold is struck, waste removed and gutters cleared before we invoice.

Do we need permission from Fenland District Council?

Most like-for-like roof work doesn't need consent, but listed buildings and conservation areas can. If your property looks like it falls into that, we'll say so at inspection so it's dealt with before work starts.
